Licenses and Disclosures

Even Financial Inc. (“we, “us” or “Even”) is a Delaware corporation with its corporate headquarters located at 43 West 24th Street, New York, NY 10010. We operate an online platform that provides a loan matching service and offers information about loans and other financial products to consumers.

We provide information about loans and certain financial services and products, but we do not make loans or issue credit cards, take applications, or act as an agent or advisor to you or any financial service provider. Any loan request you submit is NOT a loan application, but is a request to be matched with prospective third party lenders. We do not issue loan approvals or loan commitments on behalf of lenders. Any lender will require you to submit a loan application for their consideration.

We provide our services at no cost to you and will not charge or seek fees of any kind from you. We may, however, receive fees from lenders in different amounts for different products in different places and may be paid based on fees for services, goods, or facilities performed or provided by us to lenders. The lenders or other service providers may charge you fees in connection with the loans or other products they offer.

We do not endorse or recommend particular lenders or products. Your personal financial situation is unique, and it is your responsibility to evaluate the information and content provided before making any financial decisions. You should consider obtaining additional information and/or advice from a qualified financial advisor who is fully aware of your individual circumstances.

We support the principles of the federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act (the “ECOA”). We do not engage in business practices that discriminate on the basis of age (provided the applicant has the capacity to contract), race, color, national origin, sex, marital status, or the fact that all or part of the applicant's income derives from a public assistance program, the fact that the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act. Similarly, we are committed to compliance with any applicable state and local anti-discrimination laws. The federal agency that administers our compliance with the ECOA is the Federal Trade Commission, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Washington, DC 20580.

We do not enter into loan brokerage contracts with consumers, but some states require us to be licensed as a consumer loan broker or have a similar license in place. The states listed below are states where we provide services that require licensing and disclosure of licensing information.

  • Maryland

    Maryland Credit Services Business License No. 28-82.

    You have a right to review any file maintained on you by any consumer reporting agency, and the right to receive a copy of a consumer report containing all information in that file as provided under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681g) and under Md. Commercial Law § 14-1206.

    A copy of the consumer report containing all information in your file will be furnished free of charge by the consumer reporting agency upon your request within 60 days of receiving a notice of a denial of credit as provided under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681j) and Md. Commercial Law § 14-1209.

    In addition, nationwide consumer reporting agencies, such as Equifax, Experian, andTransUnion, are required to provide you with a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months. A nominal charge not to exceed $12 may be imposed on you by the consumer reporting agency for a copy of the consumer report containing all the information in your file, if you have not been denied credit within 60 days from the receipt of your request and you have already obtained your free annual copies.

    You have a right to dispute the completeness or accuracy of any item on the consumer report in any file that is maintained by any consumer reporting agency, as provided under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681i) and Md. Commercial Law § 14-1208.

    The services to be provided to you by EVEN Financial, Inc. may include (i) taking information from you; and (ii) transmitting your information to potential lenders and transmitting loan information back to you. These services will be provided to you at no cost.

    Accurately reported information may not be permanently removed from the file of a consumer reporting agency.

    You have a right to file a complaint pursuant to Md. Commercial Law § 14-1911. Such complaints may be filed with the Commissioner of Financial Regulation, Attn: Consumer Services Unit, at the following address: 500 North Calvert Street, Suite 402, Baltimore, Maryland 21202.

    EVEN Financial, Inc. has secured a bond by Great American Insurance Company, a surety authorized to do business in Maryland. You have the right to proceed against the bond under the circumstances and in the manner set forth in Md. Commercial Law § 14-1910.

The nationwide consumer credit reporting agencies, such as Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, are required to provide you with a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months. The WV Association ofConsumer Credit Counseling Services (call 1-800-869-7758) or the National Foundation for Consumer Credit (call 1-800-388-2227) will connect you to a local organization, or check your yellow pages under “Credit Counseling Services” to find a non-profit service.

    8. By agreeing to Even’s Terms of Service, you hereby acknowledge that you have received a copy of this statementfor your own records and understand that an exact copy of this statement will be maintained on file by Even.
