Leaders from the global fintech community converged on sunny Miami, FL, for LendIt Fintech Nexus 2022, on February 7-8.
The two-day event, held at the scenic Loews Miami Beach Hotel, was highlighted by the Dealmakers Summit, which included rotating one-on-one meetings and free-flowing social events for business networking.
Even’s Jordan Mandel, Senior Account Executive, was in attendance among representatives from over 150 fintech firms. The Dealmakers Summit took place in one large easy-to-navigate ballroom, broken down into 30-minute meeting blocks.
“The event was packed with engaging, highly-productive meetings,” said Mandel. “It was a great opportunity to meet and sit down with members of the fintech community from all over the world, to discuss opportunities ranging from technology partnerships, to raising capital, to capital markets.”
The Opening Night party was held at Chotto Matte, a Japanese Perusian fusion restaurant on South Beach, where event attendees enjoyed sushi and drinks.
Guests also got to participate in some fun curated experiences, which included tastings (gourmet coffee and bourbon), cigar rolling classes, sunrise yoga on the beach, and more. The event was capped off by the LendIt Fintech 2021 Industry Awards.
The first-ever LendIt Fintech Nexus was meant to launch in 2021, but was postponed due to the pandemic. The event highlights a great opportunity for traditional and new sectors of finance to converge and discuss plans for the future.
“This is an event that helps bring credit unions and smaller banks into the new age, by establishing contacts and potential partnerships with fintechs,” said Mandel. “It’s fascinating to see how these companies are thinking about and evolving their digital strategies.”
